Overview:
Surrey Walton is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Systems Outcomes and Policy and Assistant Director in the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research. Prior to arriving at UIC, Dr. Walton received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1997, where he specialized in labor and health economics.
Research Interests:
Areas of interest include economic evaluation of health care services and policy, decision analytic modeling, cost and outcomes assessments, and studies of the pharmacy workforce.
Teaching Statement:
Coordinate and teach Pharm D and graduate level courses in the economic evaluation of health care services and have served on numerous graduate thesis committees for PSOP, and the school of public health.
